The Miami Dolphins placed Pro Bowl cornerback Xavien Howard on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday.
The list is for players who have either tested positive or been quarantined due to close contact with a person who has the coronavirus.
Howard, 27, began training camp on the physically unable to perform list. He is still working his way back from a left knee injury that limited him to five games in 2019. He had surgery in December.
A second-round pick by Miami in 2016, Howard has 12 interceptions, 35 passes defensed and 140 tackles in 40 career games (39 starts). He made the Pro Bowl and shared the NFL lead with seven picks in 2018.
