De la Rosa to revolutionize company's efforts in creating new research, tools to improve communication, and shift clients' organizational cultures

SEATTLE, (January 25, 2022) - Fierce Conversations, an award-winning Seattle-based training organization with over 300 Fortune 500 clients, names Gabe de la Rosa, Ph.D., chief behavioral science officer, to further the company's research to enhance leadership, culture, and communication outcomes for its clients.

De la Rosa brings valuable experience measuring the impact of stress on individuals in some of the highest stakes workplace cultures, including the U.S. Navy. This includes research on "Operational Stress and Correlates of Mental Health Among Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay Military Personnel," and other peer-reviewed, groundbreaking work.

De la Rosa has a doctorate in industrial/organizational psychology from Bowling Green State University. His published work includes, "The Journal of Addictive Behaviors," (an international peer-reviewed journal), and edited books. "The Handbook of Employee Engagement" is an invaluable resource for organizational psychologists.

De La Rosa's impact is already felt in a newly released report by Fierce "Impact of Stress At Work, de la Rosa discusses the $300 billion impact occupational stress has on lost work productivity. These numbers are expected to escalate as now 75% of employees say they feel more isolated and 67% report a higher level of stress. "Stress has always been a major concern, however; the pandemic has raised the stakes even higher. Prior to joining Fierce, de la Rosa spent over seven years at The Naval Center for Combat and Operational Stress Control, where he was responsible for understanding and enhancing organizational factors impacting performance among sailors and marines.
